I absolutely love this photo with every ounce of my being as a photographer and as a manager of this team (I may be bias). Keegan is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I don’t think I have ever talked to a single person who knows Keegan that doesn’t absolutely adore him with every atom of their body. Something that is incredibly important to me as a photographer is capturing people in who they are and showing them for their true self. I feel as though this photo encapsulates Keegan in not only a gorgeous light, but also giving him this incredibly focus within the chaos of so many other people in the photo.
The themes within the chapter that best encapsulate this photo are that of ‘the search for order’, ‘hunting’, and ‘points of placement’. Obviously I brought my camera to the meeting to take photos of the directors to put up on the socials to show we are back in business and planning things for the up coming year; but hunting for photos that are both good and show this theme, especially in a less than 600 square-foot room full of 25 people (search for order), was incredibly difficult. Only about 12 of the over 100 photos I took came out good enough (in my eyes) for posting.
The hunt for a good opportunity, creating harmony in chaos, and making sure that the subject within the photo are well received are incredibly difficult tasks to master; I think I was able to use the aforementioned skills to my advantage.
