I would say overall this was an unsuccessful shoot for me and honestly made me decide to change my topic entirely. I had a lot of trouble first getting good lighting on the bus. Also it is extremely unpredictable to know how many and what kind of people will be on the bus at any given time. I would say if I had a lot more time and more of an interesting topic shooting on a bus could be a really cool idea but I kind of lost interest in the topic and don’t think now is the time to tell it. Maybe a year ago when restrictions were just starting to be lifted a story on covid restrictions and public transportation would e really interesting, but right now it just doesn’t seem to have much depth. I would say overall I didn’t get very high quality photos either because from the beginning I was kind of discourage with this topic. I have decided to go with my backup topic which was options for unhoused people in Bloomington. I have already contacted the New Hope for Families Center in Bloomington to see what they would be willing to let me do so I am hoping this works out. Overall I think I could have done much better with this story, but it would take a lot of time and I know with the amount of time I have at the end of this semester I could not do it justice.
