This workshop taught me a lot about the process of capturing a moment. I learned that it is really difficult to get the perfect positioning of a person, lighting, exposure, and everything working in a photo when you go out to take photos of people this way. I got some really awesome candids but then another person would walk into the frame and change my composition. I learned I had to be patient and really watch and wait for the right moment. This was my favorite photo I got because I had a lot of people coming towards me when standing in this spot but most people would start walking away from me or put their heads down to not be in the photo. I was proud of this image because this boy came up really fast on his bike so I only had a quick second to capture his face and compose the photo. It’s not perfect but I like that I got a rule of thirds action shot with his face in it.
