Today in class, we got to work with lens we normally don’t work with. I had a ton of fun photographing using the telephoto lens. I thought it was pretty amazing how close the lens can capture someone when they are actually very far away. I would be interested to work with an even bigger lens to capture even farther distance. I had a hard time figuring out how to capture depth of field in the beginning but then once I changed my camera out of automatic, I was able to better control the camera. I think I was best at capturing close emotion on people. I liked taking those shots because I have always loved looking at the expression in peoples faves. It was also nice to work with Meredyth for this workshop because she gave me ideas on what to shoot.  My favorite thing about using the telephoto lens rather than my normal lens is that I can get very up close and personal without actually being in someones face. I think this will be helpful when shooting in sports so I am glad we got to get familiar with the lens now. I will definitely be checking out a telephoto lens in my free time.
