Workshop 4

Here is the spot I stationed myself at. Here is two people looking into the river under the bridge.

Here is another student curving his path to walk across the bridge. It seems to be his walk to class.

An important concept from Workshop 4 that I learned was to be patient with myself. I stationed myself in the middle of Dunn Meadow. At first, there wasn’t many people walking through this spot but then it picked up pretty quickly. I am very used to shooting sports photos because my major is sports media and that is my favorite kind of photography to do. This is definitely very different from what I am used to because the action isn’t already in front of the camera prior, it is made by anticipating and then shooting. I think I learned in this workshop that being patient is key and to stay put in one spot can honestly create action and make a photo just by the small amounts of action added to the frame. The technique of staying put in one spot and being patient really stuck out to me because if you wait for the action to come to you, it will, and if it doesn’t, you need to take action to go find some action.
