Workshop 6

For this assignment, we were using telephotos, which I had never used before. I really liked it because I always see journalists using them but I didn’t know how they worked. My first impression was that they were really heavy. Then when I looked through the lens for the first time I was really surprised by the compression it makes.

I have been working with Jamie and I have really enjoyed it. We have taken a lot of photos from different spots and from different people and moments.

I really like the first photo because both, the dog and the boy, look really happy. Also, it was a really quick moment and I am really happy that the photo is focused. The second photo is the short-distance one. Although the girl looks angry, I really like it because it describes perfectly the morning mood- angry and with a coffee. The third photo is the medium- distance. The yellow of the leaves and the way the girl is walking transmits a lot of peace. The long-distance photo shows three different actions. The main character is the student walking in the camera’s direction, but as it is a long distance, you can also see all the action that happens behind- the worker with the green shirt and the car. Finally, in the layer photo distance seem to be short but in reality, all the things that appear in the photo were at a longer distance.

I have really liked this assignment because it has been something new that I haven’t tried before and I have also enjoyed working with Jamie.
