Workshop 7- Wides!

I enjoyed Workshop 7 because it allowed us to go on an adventure and scope out the specific tasks we were in charge of completing. It also allowed us to expand our knowledge and go out of our comfort zone by asking to take wide portrait photos of people. It finally feels like fall outside, so every photo that I took had color or really pretty contrast with everything that was in the photo. My favorite photo is the photo of Zoey running towards the camera because it is such a fun photo and the scenery in the back is gorgeous. I think that really helped bring the photo together more which I loved. Something I also learned was that you can still get amazing photos without zooming in. I locked the camera so I wouldn’t be tempted to zoom, and I really enjoyed it because it forced me to move around more and get closer to the subject I was trying to capture in the photo. For the future, I want to learn how to improve on capturing photos of exaggerated lines because I haven’t quite learned how to see exaggerated lines in things that aren’t obvious. Also, I have learned to like wide photos more because it allows you to capture more than just the subject you are looking at, and to see the other details that play a role in your photo. The photo I took of the guy walking his dog was super cool to me because it captured so much green in the background, and if I didn’t take the photo in wide, it wouldn’t be as bright and interesting. Overall, I really like this exercise and I want to improve on taking photos of exaggerated lines and layering as well.
