In this workshop we practiced how to use layers and how to focus on a subject in the background through these layers. This workshop taught us some very interesting and valuable lessons and skills in photography. By creating an interesting foreground and focusing on a subject through the leading lines and layers created by various objects or other subjects, you can really capture an interesting image and create a lot of emphasis on a specific subject. In this shoot I decided to take pictures of my friend Brian. I thought that the car would be a cool and interesting place for us to capture these shots as there is a lot of layers and objects going on in the car. I then decided to use the passenger seat and its head rest to create an interesting view path to Brian’s face as he was ready to pull out of his driveway and made his face the focal point by focusing on him through the head rest.
