As a current junior of The Media School at Indiana University, I am taking the many opportunities around me to explore and embrace my passions. I combined my passion for journalism with my passion for sports by reporting and anchoring for Hoosier Sports Nite. This experience has not only taught me vital journalism skills but also to adapt and work well with others. From covering games by myself, taking on unfamiliar jobs in the control room, to even handing down the skills I had learned to my peers, I put my heart and soul into the content I created and the jobs I was tasked with. I am willing to go the extra mile in all aspects of life. Whether it be staying up to make sure an assignment is to my standards, going back to the lab to tweak a package, or even ensuring a colleague always feels welcomed by me, there is no length I will not go to to make sure I have done everything to the best of my ability.
While at Indiana University I plan to continue to engage in meaningful activities that complement my passions and find new ones. This year I am interning at WFHB, a local radio news station that prioritizes the citizens of Bloomington. Looking to the future I want to continue to work for companies that make an impact by putting the needs of its community at the forefront of its concerns.
