Grubhub is working with IU to offer online food ordering.

This January, IU started to working with Grubhub to allow students to order food online and either pick it up or have it delivered. IU has many locations for students to get food and drink on campus. But many students do not have enough time to get food when they are busy running from class to class.

However, from now on, students can order their campus food online and choose whether they want to pick it up or have it delivered to them

Starting on  Jan. 13, IU began utilizing this new convenient service.

Students can pay with  I-BUCKS, CrimsonCard account, or a major credit card.

From the page of IU dining, students and faculty can find what locations offer Grubhub ordering and pick up.

The IU Dining assistant manager, Julia Ritter, said that this is beneficial not only for students, but also for the IU Dining staff. It is because there were often too many students  waiting in  long lines during peak times. But Ritter said after they began to work with Grubhub the process became easier.

“You know, you need to spend much time on waiting in a line when you wait to get the food and wait to pay,” said Ritter. “However, for now, you can get the food immediately when you arrive there because you ordered food on your way.”

Students can download the Grubhub app on their phone.

When you open the Grubhub app, you can choose what pick up location you want. And after you choose one, you can see the different menus. And then you can order what you want online and tell the service whether you plan to pick up the food or have it delivered.

If you have questions on using IU Grubhub, just go to the  IU Dining website for help and information.

“We post this kind of information on our IU Dining social media like Instagram,” said Ritter.  You can find details on their Instagram page.

Students say they like having the option.

“I am living on campus, and there are many food eateries here at IU.” said Autumn Yoder, IU junior student. ” So I think it’s pretty convenient for me to get the food even when I have classes. So I just order when I’m there. I have Grubhub, but I haven’t used it (yet) for IU dining. But maybe I will catch on,” Yoder said.
