Indiana Men's Soccer takes home Big Ten Championship Title

The men’s soccer team has a new title. They are Big Ten Champions as of Wednesday night, after they defeated Ohio State 1-0 in Columbus. It was a fight to the finish the entire game, but ultimately the Hoosiers ended up on top and taking home the title for the 15th time in 28 years.

The one and only goal the entire game happened in the first half during the 28th minute. IU’s Spencer Glass had the assist Wednesday night. He was traveling down the left side of the field towards the net and when he crossed to the center, Andrew Gutman’s head met the ball and found the back of the net.

This was the seniors 9th goal on the season, and the game winner for Indiana. The Hoosiers held the Buckeyes the entire game and never let them score.

The men’s soccer team plays this at 4PM Sunday at Bill Armstrong Stadium against Michigan State. They will be celebrating their seniors for senior night.
