Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, Ian Burke is carving his path on Indiana University’s club hockey team. A freshman this fall, he wasted no time reaching out to join and continue playing the sport he’s loved since age five. His passion is clear in every stride as his skates cut across the ice. Balancing classes, practices and college life hasn’t been easy, but Burke says hockey keeps him grounded. “It’s where I can forget everything else and just play,” he says. For him, the team has already become more than just a group of players, it’s a family, and the ice feels like home.
