On November 30th, Center Grove High School center, Trayce Jackson-Davis, verbally committed to Indiana University via twitter and signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Hoosiers. Davis is head coach Archie Miller’s first five-star recruit and his second over all for the 2019 IU men’s basketball class. The Hoosier Network was able to learn more about Trayce Jackson-Davis, his basketball career and his recruitment process.

Davis is ranked number 15 in the country by 247 Sports Composite, 17th by ESPN, number 14th in USA Today’s chosen 25 for the 2019 class, and 18th in the nation according to Rivals.com.
He has led the Center Grove Trojans to back-to-back sectional titles. For Center Grove, he averaged 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.7 blocked shots, and 2.8 assists per game as a junior.Davis had 29 points and 10 rebounds in his senior season opener last week in a win against Franklin.
In a press conference, Archie Miller said, “He’s got a lot of upside coming to him. Size. Athleticism. Length. Has got great hands. But more so than anything, I think it continues to hopefully build confidence that the best want to come here. And that’s what we strived to do from day one. And we’re going to continue to strive for that as we continue to move forward because that’s what makes the most sense.”

Trayce Jackson-Davis is the second member of IU’s 2019 class, joining three star prospect and guard, Armaan Franklin from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.
