The Rainbow Coalition is a group of student leaders from 30 different multicultural organizations who formed a Union to fight for representation at Indiana University.
On Friday, Rainbow Coalition held their first rally, Unite to Ignite. More than 70 students were at the Sample Gates to demand representation on campus.
Students spoke on what the Rainbow Coalition is, what they want from the University and IU Student Government, and how the plan to get it.

Rainbow Coalition shared on their instagram and emphasized,
“Our coalition is not based off of the color of our skin, but the content of our character and our willingness to address inequities and develop substantive change on behalf of ALL students.”
They shared that students can direct message the group on Instagram any questions, comments, or concerns they have for the University or IUSG. They said they want to be a comfortable place for students to come with their concerns and know that they will share the information because they repeatedly said, “We are not asking anymore, we are demanding.”
