The festival life
Junior Diem Dang gains a professional opportunity be attending the Beyond Wonderland music festival.
Being in L.A. has opened my eyes to so many things I never even knew were possible.
This semester, I have been interning with Kardashian-Jenner Communications as a talent management intern. I’m not able to share all the details, but just know that this internship has helped me in unimaginable ways. I have met and experienced so many things and people I never thought I would. From party planning to helping around the house and even curating Instagram posts, I now know the ins and outs of the entertainment industry.
Although Calabasas is a drive, all of the traffic was definitely worth it. I interned three days a week (sometimes more) from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., which means I had four days of the week to explore the city of L.A. On days I interned, I also had class, so I usually just stayed in those nights. But Friday through Monday, I packed every day completely full.
My absolute favorite thing about L.A. is the shopping. The Melrose Trading Post is singlehandedly the reason I have to move back. It’s heaven. It happens every Sunday in a high school parking lot, and it’s basically this huge shopping market. From food to clothes, they have everything. It’s the best.
There are so many things to do in L.A. that it’s impossible to get bored. If I had to choose my top favorite memories from the semester, they would be going to Las Vegas for the iHeartRadio music festival, going to the E! People’s Choice Awards and going to the studio with Wiz Khalifa. All three of them were so completely different and honestly unexplainable, but I enjoyed them all equally.
After this semester, there is no doubt in my mind I’ll be back in L.A. after graduation. I’m sad to be leaving, but I know my last semester will fly by. So see you soon, L.A.
