Where do I begin with my experience in Los Angeles?
Let me just start off by thanking everyone in the program for allowing me this remarkable opportunity. Though cut short, I have gained much knowledge about the industry and fast-paced lifestyle of Los Angeles. I have memories that will remain with me forever. From walking into those doors over at Ava Hollywood, down the street to the notorious Melrose Avenue and to the iconic beaches, I can say I was truly astonished and filled with joy every single day of the program.
Having a dream internship at Fox Sports made the transition that much simpler. Being that I have been active in sports since my younger days, I have always wanted a career in the sports field. At Fox Sports, I met a multitude of talented individuals I would normally only see on television. I’ve spent years analyzing their breakdowns of sports on television, and I was starstruck.
Once I met them face-to-face, they all inspired me to reach higher. These humble individuals shook my hand and told me about their work and how their journey guided them to where they are today.
My amazing professors gave me inspiration that has impacted my life and mindset, especially since they all graduated from IU. They taught me that you just need a strong work ethic and desire to become better than you are.
From the many stories told by professors, the hiking adventures every Saturday with classmates and the simple trips to the taco stands on the corners of L.A., I want to say thank you to everyone I have met through the program. It was a true pleasure.
