The festival life
Junior Diem Dang gains a professional opportunity be attending the Beyond Wonderland music festival.
I’ve really enjoyed my time in Los Angeles. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’ve learned quite a lot and not just from the classes. I started my internship this month, and it really has me excited for my future after this program.
Starting the internship in October is a little late, and it wasn’t easy waiting that long. My patience was tested, but I just kept working hard and trying my best, and it paid off. I’ll still be working enough to get six credit hours, so I’m pretty happy about that. One of my professors here was was a big help. All of the professors here have been incredible.
I also really appreciate the program being in person. It’s such a breath of fresh air after being online-only for a year and a half.
There’s a lot to love about Los Angeles. The landscapes here are amazing. From the beaches to the mountains; pair that with the fantastic weather, and what’s not to love?
Many of the students have been seeing a lot of movies lately, and it’s been great to get back to the theaters. It is a little strange to think about how much this one semester will shape my life. I am going to do everything I can to stay in California after I graduate.
I’m happy to be representing IUPUI and am extremely grateful to the IU Bloomington Media School for having the program. If there are any students on the fence about a program like this, you can’t pass something like this up. It is difficult at times, but it is worth it.
