Who Stole the Canopy of Lights?

The Monroe County History Center hosts many exhibits throughout the year to help educate people on the history of the area. “Who Stole the Canopy of Lights” adds a new twist, mixing holiday cheer, local history and a lot of trains to attract visitors of all ages. Guests can follow a scavenger hunt that takes them through exhibits of different parts of Monroe County, hoping to help catch the villain and restore the canopy lights.

A Glimpse Behind Bars

Seeing a member of law enforcement is not anything out of the ordinary. They can be seen working event security, responding to crime scenes, and even handing out parking tickets around campus. These are all standard tasks that local lawn enforcement officers  complete in the free world, however hasn’t anyone ever wondered what happens behind bars? During this documentary, one can get a better understanding as to what things are like from inside of a jail.

Greek’s on 16th

Ryan and Rebecca Kitto opened a Greek’s Pizzeria in November of 2018. It is located in Indianapolis on 16th street and Columbia. This is Ryan and Rebecca’s first restaurant and they have enjoyed designing the building inside and out with local artist’s work. General Manager Taylor Cox runs Greek’s day-to-day operations and much more. Ryan explains why he chose to open a greats and the inspiration behind the artwork.

Salon Reflections

Salon Reflections is one of the few black owned and operated businesses in Madison, Indiana. Kim Edwards, the owner continues to do African-American hair in a town with a black population of only 3 percent, when she could do hair in another city with a higher black population and make more money. Large Art

On Saturday, November 17, art-lovers and artists alike came together for the last installment of Dyer Arts Visionaries’ tryptic show Small Medium Large. Dyer Arts Visionaries (DAVe) sponsors themed art shows, which allows artists to all take their unique approaches to the theme.
